Description
Correct surface preparation is essential for good product performance and all surfaces should be prepared as per the standard Painter’s Pal Preparation Specifications.
Do not apply when ambient temperatures are <4°C or >40°C. After correct surface preparation, prime with Painter’s Pal Multi Purpose Primer by brush, roller or spray at the specified spread rate as per technical data.
PLASTER/FIBRE CEMENT/CEMENT BRICKS:
Remove oil, grease and dirt with SUGAR SOAP POWDER solution, rinse well and allow to dry. Remove loose friable material by wire brushing. Rinse with clean water and allow to dry.
WOOD:
Fill defects with Wood filler. Seal knots with KNOT SEAL Sand lightly and dust off
PVC/ALUMINIUM:
Remove oil, grease and any other contaminants with Wunda Clean DEGREASER. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to dry. Remove peeling paint with the appropriate paint stripper or by sanding or wire brushing. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to dry.
SURFACES PREVIOUSLY PAINTED WITH ENAMELS AND OTHER GLOSSY FINISHES:
Remove mould with bleach and rinse well. Remove grease and oil with SUGAR SOAP solution. Sand glossy areas to a matt finish. Fill all defects with the appropriate polyfilla product.
- Always keep out of reach of children and animals.
- Wear a suitable dust mask and goggles when preparing surfaces.
- Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.
- If accidental contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water or a recognised skin cleaner.
- If accidental contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
- Harmful if swallowed. Seek medical attention and do not induce vomiting.
