Correct surface preparation is essential for good product performance and all surfaces should be prepared as per the standard Painter’s Pal Preparation Specifications.
Do not apply when ambient temperatures are <4°C or >40°C. After correct surface preparation, stir thoroughly and apply a minimum of 2 coats of Painter’s Pal Stick to Anything by brush, roller or spray at the specified spread rate. Allow to dry between coats as per technical data.
(ABS) THERMOPLASTIC, (PVC) PLASTIC, (PVC) PLASTIC and (PS) POLYSTYRENE
- Clean the substrate with mild dish soap and warm water. This will remove any surface dirt. Use a soft cloth or sponge for smooth surfaces, and a scrubbing brush for textured surfaces (such as patio furniture). Rinse the item with fresh water afterwards, then dry it off.
- Wipe down the surface down with rubbing alcohol. This step is very important, as it will remove any oils that might prevent the paint from sticking.
- Apply a minimum of 2 coats of Painter’s Pal Stick to Anything.
POLYETHYLENE
- Clean the substrate with mild dish soap and warm water. This will remove any surface dirt. Use a soft cloth or sponge for smooth surfaces, and a scrubbing brush for textured surfaces (such as patio furniture). Rinse the item with fresh water afterwards, then dry it off.
- Corona treat or heat blast
- Apply two coats of Painter’s Pal Stick to Anything
GALVANISED STEEL AND ALUMINIUM
- Wash surface with Metal Clean or Galv Edge
- Rinse well with water.
- Apply two coats of Painter’s Pal Stick to Anything
TILES

RUBBER
- Clean the substrate with mild dish soap and warm water. This will remove any surface dirt. Use a soft cloth or sponge for smooth surfaces, and a scrubbing brush for textured surfaces (such as patio furniture). Rinse the item with fresh water afterwards, then dry it off.
- Apply two coats of Painter’s Pal Stick to Anything
GLASS
- Clean the substrate with mild dish soap and warm water. Allow to check.
- Wash the glass with alcohol and allow to dry.
- Wipe down the surface down with rubbing alcohol. This step is very important, as it will remove any oils that might prevent the paint from sticking.
- Apply two coats of Painter’s Pal Stick to Anything
STEEL
- Wash down surfaces with Wunda Clean making sure surfaces are free from dirt, grease, oil and salt contaminants.
- Wash surface with Metal Clean or Galv Edge.
- Rinse well with water.
- Apply two coats of Painter’s Pal Stick to Anything
- Always keep out of reach of children and animals.
- Wear a suitable dust mask and goggles when preparing surfaces.
- Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.
- If accidental contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water or a recognised skin cleaner.
- If accidental contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
- Harmful if swallowed. Seek medical attention and do not induce vomiting.
